Lumberjanes Wikia

Ripley Rodriguez-O'Shanassy[3] is one of the main characters of the Lumberjanes. She is the youngest and most energetic girl of the Roanoke Cabin (and her family). She loves animals, and is brave in a notably naïve way. She is known to love glitter and candy.

Appearance[]

Ripley has short brown hair with dyed blue bangs, a tan complexion, and freckles. She is quite short. She is usually seen wearing an orange shirt over a longer-sleeved white one, red athletic shorts, knee socks, orange sneakers, and a blue flannel shirt tied around her waist. Most commonly she is seen smiling. When she first came to camp she had very long, straight brown hair, which was cut and dyed by April after she got gum stuck in it. She is of Afro-Mexican and Irish descent.

Personality[]

Ripley is very energetic, to the point of being hyper. She is sweet, artistic, driven and eccentric. She loves animals, especially baby ones and traditionally cute ones. She is also sporty and loves the outdoors.

Ripley is the youngest and most energetic of the girls, liable to launch herself towards danger without any fear. Her famous move includes drop kicking things in the stomach, including foxes, yetis, statues, and even Mal. She loves animals, from kittens to dinosaurs, and sweet things such as cookies and candy. Despite often being the catalyst for trouble (forcing the others to follow her to rescue her from jumping into white water rapids, for example) she possesses keen insight into other people's feelings. Molly and Mal are often Ripley's unofficial guardians, and if not them, then Jen. She also tends to be a softball, thrown by Mal, generally. She also has a big family but gets along with her siblings quite well. She is shown to have a very close relationship with her Abuela.

Ripley is especially innocent when it comes to relationships, dangers and even life in general as she is still very young. She almost always runs after anything mysterious and glowing in the woods, like unicorns (especially unicorns).

Ripley is also known to give names to several (supernatural) creatures that the Roanoke cabin has encountered before like Bubbles (Molly's raccoon hat/pet), Mr. Sparkles (her unicorn toy), and several other unicorns.

  3. Ripley's family surname is initially called out with several others in volume 7 when the campers get mail, although at the time only the Nichols sisters' identity is apparent. The volume Parents' Day has Jim call out "Senora Rodriguez" when they are searching for Rip's Abula, who Rip's dad calls "Mama"
